Magnesium, hypervent: Check for los magnesium ( hypomagnasemia). Many nervous ( neurosis) patients with hyperventilation cause a cramp in the hands and fingers like a trousseau sign. I believe this is probably the most common cause of contractions similar to the sign of trousseau's.
