Can titanium implants, such as plates and pins that have been left in the body for long periods of time cause neurological disorders such as anxiety?

Titanium anxiety: Titanium as a general rule is very well tolerated as an implant. A very few people will develop an allergy to this metal. Symptoms are usually a local reaction or drainage near the insertion site. Anxiety about an implant without other symptoms is usually more of an emotional response than from the implant itself. Evaluation by a physician to differentiate the two is indicated.
