What is typical waiting period before going to a dr. with a sore throat, (too much saliva) headache, slight fever, sinus congestion?

If it persist s: Typicaly st will improve within 2-3 days . Going to the doctor depends on wether there is fever, dificulty with swallowing, breathing problems , need note to be able to return to work and if smoker or chewing tobacco think of cancer.

Visit your M.D.: You may have the need to have a strep culture . If they can attack it with the right antibiotic quick enough it may not last as long. Having a fever is your bodies defense mechanism to heat these bacteria/viruses in order to kill and remove them. It may be a viral issue and just take time to pass, however a antibiotic can help fight secondary infection by bacteria.
