I've had a cold for 4 days so far. my mucus is clear, no fever, i feel better, but still congested. now i am getting sore throat. why would i be getting that now? i am also 7 months pregnant.

It can be allergy: But visit your md to be sure. More precaution has to be observed since you are pregnant. In case it advanced to upper respiratory infection, avoid taking tetracycline because it can discolor and affect your baby's teeth.

Post nasal drip: Likely you have the residual from a cold virus, and have a post-nasal drip, which often causes a raw/burning feeling in throat. Vaporizer by bed can help at night. Cepacol/chloraseptic spray during day (check w/ob, but should be ok), or just hard candies to keep throat moist. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may help with pain some also.
