Brain damage: Depression and ocd do not cause permanent brain damage, but they do recur and the more episodes you have in the past, the more likely you are to have recurrent episodes (episodes may change gene expression not brain structure).

OCD Depression brain: Ocd and clinical depression do not cause brain damage. Both of these conditions can have a biological basis and can recur. However recovery from these conditions can endure especially when one continues to do what produced the recovery, whether that was behavioral, cognitive and / or medication.
