Other symptoms?: What do you get with them? Nasal congestion, sneezing, headache? Or rash on eyelids, eye discharge? There are other causes for swollen eyelids in the morning, you should really consult your doctor about this.

Could be both: Both allergy and blepharitis can cause chronically recurrent lid swelling. However, blepharitis is more common to cause the problem overnight. Allergy would tend to be a problem all of the time (with severe itching too), unless you are allergic to pillow case, detergent, etc. Blepharitis can respond to warm compresses, lid cleaning, and eye ointments, while allergy responds to oral antihistamines.
