Blepharitis: If the correct diagnosis is indeed blepharitis, then yes, doxycycline or tetracycline will likely help quite a bit. Usually blepharitis has to be fairly severe for me to put my patients on these antibiotics, but they are usually quite helpful. Discuss this carefully with your eye doctor as a possible treatment. Also, discuss the proper lid cleaning technique for treating blepharitis.
