Great question: Never heard of anyone talk of anti-stimulants, but certainly there are people that are too hyper, manic, or need to just calm down! more seriously, there are a range of tranquilizers, mood stabilizers, and other meds that can help, and stimulants tend to settle down adhd folks. All meds have risks and side effects and the right med always depends on getting a good diagnostic assessment.
