Yes: I dont know anybody withpfs that can squat comfortably best treatment is rest activity modification.

Squats: I'm not a big fan of anything that drives a significant amount of force into the patella including squats and lunges - especially if you're still recovering. I like wall sits for quad strengthening (which is what you need for pfs), hamstring stretching and if you want to do squats, use proper technique and stop if you're having pain. Best of luck!
