A 41-year-old female asked:
Will i need time off work after a bone marrow biopsy?

Not likely: The site of biopsy will be sore for a day or two, but you should be able to return to work the day after. More important for your ability to work may be the reason for which you need bone marrow biopsy.

A 24-year-old member asked:
How do bone marrow biopsies typically work?

Biopsy...: You are typically on your stomach and lightly sedated. The area on the back of your pelvis (hip region) is injected with local anesthesia and a "large" needle is placed into the bone marrow cavity to remove a sample of the contents.
