What could be the reason why my fingers and the top of my hands are turning green?

Not sure: I have been a hand surgeon for almost 20 years and I have yet to see green hands. If you have had any bruising anywhere below your elbow, the old blood eventually works it way down to your hand and fingers. As old blood is reabsorbed it often changes colors from purple, to blue to green or yellow. Exposure to some types of metals like copper can cause a greenish discoloration. Get it checked out.
