Call your dentist: Post operative pain, swelling, bruising, infection, possibly residual pain and numbness are a few things you may experience. Call your dental office and have them give you a post surgery information sheet. You can read it and ask questions prior to your procedure.

Rest: Everyone is different, and it depends a lot on the position of the teeth and what is required to remove them (i.e. Bone surgery). Generally, however, you can expect some puffiness in your cheeks, discomfort when opening your mouth and eating, and bad breath. Plan on taking a few days to simply rest and let your body heal--it can't do that if you are too active. Follow your surgeon's advice!
