Does amitriptyline have a side affect that makes you lose your appetite?

Not usually: Amitriptylene generally stimulates your appetite. But there are other GI effects like constipation and even nausea in some -- if this happens, you might lose your appetite. Nausea is much more common with ssri antidepressants than amitriptylene, though.
