Yes: Theoretically, a person could have an allergic reaction to any medication including omeprazole. There is no good way to know ahead of time if a person is going to have a reaction. In general Omeprazole and other ppi drugs are well tolerated. However, if a reaction occurs, stop the drug and call the doctor. Frequently there is a suitable alternative that can be used.
