A member asked:

Does the hcg diet (using injections) effect the beta hcg in a quantatative blood test?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Beta HCG : A very good question. The pills and injections given in the "hcg diet" will cause blood and urine levels of bhcg to rise. However, two measurements, a week or more apart, should differentiate between pregnancy ( where the levels will rise predictably) and diet drugs, assuming you are taking a constant dose for the diet treatments.
