Seroquel (quetiapine): That depends on how long u have been on the lowest dose & what that dose is. For my patients who are coming off of the seroquel, (quetiapine) when they have reached daily dose of 25mg., and have been on that dose for few weeks, i recommend taking half that dose daily for another week, then discontinue. Please review with your prescribing doc.

Taper and stop okay: Most medications are best discontinued by a taper. How long and how quickly to change the dose depends on your starting point and your issues. Getting to the lowest dose of a medication usually means the next step is just stopping it; however, you can also take that lowest dose every other day for a week or so. But be sure not to ignore the reason it was started in the first place!
