Hard to say: If there are other supportive family members (your mom, siblings) a family meeting where everyone agrees not to smoke in the house, or to use only one room, keeping the doors closed at all times (including afterwards) might be helpful. Your asthma doctor might be able to help convince your father. Smoking is an addiction, and addicts do things that often hurt others.
