A member asked:

My doc gave me an inhaler and its kinda helping and my dad smokes which makes it harder but he won't stop smoking what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: If there are other supportive family members (your mom, siblings) a family meeting where everyone agrees not to smoke in the house, or to use only one room, keeping the doors closed at all times (including afterwards) might be helpful. Your asthma doctor might be able to help convince your father. Smoking is an addiction, and addicts do things that often hurt others.
