Biliary colic: Gallbladder sludge is the same as very small gallstones. You may be having a gallbladder attack, aka biliary colic. If you develop fever or vomiting get checked sooner. Otherwise call your doc for a surgery consult/referral. You may benefit from gallbladder removal, but you need consult to determine.

Concern: While "sludge" may create anxiety, i would not focus directly on that. More importantly, with or without "sludge", an individual suffering fever and/or chills should seek medical assistance. Contact your family physician for personalized guidance.
