Air: This was probably due to trapped air after the surgery. Should be improving as time goes by. Check with your surgeon if not improving.

Check with your doc: If this is newly developing, there sometimes may be fluid collection around the liver after the surgery. There are different things that can lead to this, so difficult to tell you simply hear. But the sensory nerves for that part of the body refer pain to the right shoulder - so the right shoulder pain has to do with the area around the liver. Definitely speak with your physician.
