Maybe but not likely: A year after gallbladder surgery, it would be very unlikely that pain would be related to the past surgery. Would be very rare to have a retained bile duct stone now. Need to see your doctor for an examination. If there is persistent pain may need blood tests, x-ray and may need to see a gastroenteoolgist for endoscopy to look for other possible conditions such as gastritis, ulcers, etc.
