A member asked:

Does arthrofibrosis go away on its own without having to have surgery? i had knee surgery about 1 year ago and i am still in a knee brace.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not.: The fact that you have arthrofibrosis does not mean you could not improve the function at the joint with graduating mobility and exercises. The body can reshape and heal to a certain extent however function is what is most important and surgery is not always the answer.
