SebaceousCyst,Lipoma: The two most common lumps in the area described are lipoma (benign fatty tumors) or inclusion/sebaceous cysts (accumulated secretions from a blocked oil gland). This can often be differentiated by simple examination. Both of these conditions can be safely watched. If you choose to have this removed, it is usually a simple office procedure under local anesthesia. Good luck!

Yes: The differential diagnosis for a lump is fairly broad. It could be a lymph node, benign fatty tumor, cyst, etc. It is best to follow-up with your primary care physician to evaluate the mass.
