Its ok: Would not be my first choice of a medication for sciatica. It may help to limit the amount of narcotics you need. Pregabalin is sometimes used for the treatment of chronic pain, neuropathic pain, perioperative pain, and migraine.

Not effective: In a recent study, pregabalin was shown to be no more effective than placebo for reducing sciatic leg pain. Rather, pregabalin was associated with my higher rate of side effects. A handful of studies have evaluated its use in back sciatica, and all conclude that it has minimal, if any, effects. It appears at least slightly less effective than amitriptyline, celecoxib, and tramadol/acetaminophen.
