A member asked:

Low mcv high red blood cells with abnormal morphology with low neutrophils and high lymphocytes counts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Means nothing alone: In isolation from the patient story, lab tests mean nothing. This is especially true since we have no actual numbers. The low MCV and high rbc would make any physician think of a thalassemia, but it would be criminal to speculate further without knowing more about the person. If this is a you or a family member, you have a right and a duty to request your doctor's thoughts, or get consultation.
