Related questions: I've seen all your questions, and they are related. Sounds as though your doctor is truly concerned. Many, many people experience depression at some point and there's no shame in it (i have!) it's important not to get caught up in fearing a "diagnosis". That can prevent the help you seek.

too vague: This is far too vague a question for anyone to answer meaningfully. Depends on who made the diagnosis and why, and what you mean by "the truth.".
