Intensify treatment: There are different forms of hyperaldosteronism. Some are treated with surgery while others treated with med. In general, med should work and the potassium should improve. If not, increase the dose, change med or restart potassium supplementation until it is normal. Also, make sure magnesium level is normal. Follow closely with your treating physician.

1 or both adrenals?: Hi. Do you have an adenoma on one side or hyperplasia on both sides? Your adrenal vein sampling study will tell (assuming you've already had it). If your hyperaldo is from one side, that adrenal comes out. If it's bilateral, then it's medical therapy. So meds aren't first choice UNLESS it's bilateral disease...our information is incomplete, so we can't really say what's next. Good luck!
