Gynecomastia: Breast development in males can be idiopathic (no known cause) or can be related to steroid use or marijuana use. The idiopathic type of gynecomastia is treated by surgical removal of the excess breast tissue. If there is excess fat then this can be removed as well. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
