Doctor-: Post infectious reactive airway is one possibility - however, fluid collecting in the chest cavity needs to be evaluated since it can be drained and can provide significant relief of symptoms. If you have fevers , then a pus pocket may have formed in the chest cavity (empyema) necessitating drainage and additional antibiotic therapy. Regardless, you can be given at least symptomatic relief., .
