Talk to your doctor: Chest pain can be caused from many causes from something as severe as a heart attack to muscle soreness from an activity that involves chest muscles. All of these different causes suggest different treatment strategies. Call 911 if the chest pain happens along with shortness of breath, is new and severe, lasts more than a few minutes or gets worse when you do a physical activity.
