Temperature: assuming 99 refers to a temperature, this is a low grade fever for an otherwise healthy young person and unlikely to indicate pneumonia. Anxiety can induce a sense of breathlessness. It sounds as though you have figured out the cause of his chest discomfort i.e. musculoskeletal strain due to use or overuse, this should spontaneously resolve.get help if persistent
