Your BMI is too low: I am concerned you are not eating enough, & that your body may be breaking down muscles for fuel. Kidney problems, bladder infections and diabetes are some other conditions that can cause protein in the urine. Please, please go talk to your doctor.

Proteinuria: You are very thin and may be spilling protein in the urine from muscle breakdown. Kidney problems and diabetes can cause this too. Please have some blood work and a 24 hour urine test done at your doctors office to determine the cause.

Proteinuria: I trust this proteinuria is at least 1+ and not just a trace. This has many causes including a contaminated sample and diabetes (which at your age usually correlates little with waistline) is only one of several concerns. Your physician knows how to continue the workup. Good luck.

Please see a pro: For a young woman with anorexia, a low bmi under 18 is common and 50% of people with anorexia have protein in their urine. This is a serious condition, life-threatening often. Please see a doctor who specializes in or is knowledgeable about anorexia!
