Can alcoholic cravings be hereditary?

Absolutely: Alcoholic tendencies run in families.(type two alcoholism) it is unclear if it its a tendency to develop abnormal craving or an inability to inhibit behavior. However, since most of the identified behavior is substance related, i suspect the former.
