Not always: Some alcoholics "binge, " and can go for periods w/o any, but whenever drink, do so "to excess." daily/chronic alcoholics do tend to keep it in the house, for regular use, or "just in case" run out during night or blue-law periods, etc. If concerned, seek assistance w/alcohol abuse evaluation and treatment, if necessary.
