Loud music: Blasting loud music can cause damage to the inner ear. There are sensitive structures in our inner ear called hair cells that get damaged from loud sounds. The hair cells are small sensory cells that convert the sound energy that reaches our ear drum into electrical signals that travel to the brain. Once damaged, this results in hearing loss and our hair cells cannot grow back
