Ice: Fresh burns should be cooled with ice for about 20-30 minutes. If no blister forms you can then jsut keep the burned area covered for protection. If a blister forms, again apply ice, put a little antibacterial cream on the blister and cover with a bandage. Change this daily. If a large bliste forms get it checked out by your doctor.

Watch for infection: It is important to clean the burn, keep it covered and watch for infection . Can use a topical antibiotic. If swollen, painful or deep, you need to seek further medical care. Also important to stay hydrated and to keep the arm at heart level or above most of the time.
