Keep Clean: Keep the fingers clean to prevent infection. If painful, you may place a cool rag on them, but do not soak them too long as this may lead to skin breakdown and infection. Monitor them closely; any signs of worsening redness or drainage may indicate infection. If this happens--or anything else concerning--please have your child evaluated by their pediatrician.
