Depends on Severity: A first degree burn (without blistering) can be treated with cool compresses, aloe vera, vitamin c, e, and sometimes steroid creams. Second degree burns (with blistering) may require antibiotics, and you should visit your physician. If you have a severe third degree burn (takes the skin off) you should not apply cold water or ice. Get to an emergency room!
