A member asked:

I have a coffee mug burn on my finger. how do i treat it after the blisters has popped?

Burn: Blistering indicates that this was a second degree burn. It's not recommended to purposely break the blisters. Now the burn will gradually heal from inside out and you must protect the denuded area with cleaning with soap and water, applying an antibacterial ointment, covering the wound with a sterile nonsticking gauze. Have an MD check if spreading redness or pus collection.
