Possibly: Sometimes people with bipolar disorder are their most creative when hypomanic or manic. Some feel that their creativity is blunted when medications prevent mania & hypomania from occurring.

A common concern: Many people with bipolar subjectively feel that their creativity is diminished by medication. Yet it has also been found that in a manic state, nwhen they feel their creativity is at a maximum, it is actually severely diminished. There is an optimum balance between creativity and symptom control that each person must find, with the help of a sensitive pro.
