Better shoes: Bunions are structural deformities. As the bone becomes more prominent, it can rub in shoes any become red and painful. Icing and antiinflammatories can give temporary relief along with wearing shoes that do not put pressure on the bunion prominence. At some point, surgical correction is usually needed. If problems persist see your board certified podiatrist. Dr l.
