Depends on situation: The problems of lead toxicity have declined over the years as we have removed lead from paints & gasoline lowering exposures. Most lead exposures found today have little effect on growth. However, some kids with high exposures & high levels show suppressed blood formation, growth, health & can have neurological disorders & die. Proper followup and treatment are important for any elevated levels.
