GOOD MEDICAL HELP: If you've been diagnosed with uc, you will need good and constant medical management. This autoimmune disease can be managed but not cured. Surgery may eventually be necessary. You will need surveillance colonoscopy every 3-5 years. You need a frank discussion with your doctor and/or gastroenterologist. Good luck.
