A member asked:

Is there a possibility that your pancreas can start producing insulin again after not being able to?

Not likely : Although there is evidence that even persons with longstanding type 1 (autoimmune) diabetes have some beta cells that make insulin, the amount that is made is not enough to replace the body's needs. Rather i'd focus on helping your body use the Insulin better that you take by eating a sensible diet and getting regular physical exercise.
