A member asked:

If i have oral herpes, is it possible to just have sores in my mouth and not get cold sores on the outside of my mouth, like my lips?

Yes: This can be the case. However, you can develop extraoral herpes at any time. Be very careful when you have active lesions, because you can easily get them in your eyes. They are very contagious, so be especially careful about kissing infants, and of course anyone else during this time. You can ask your dentist about a prescription medication for them. Good luck.
