Quad contusion and pain when straightening or bending leg. is there anything i can take for the pain?

Contusion pain: A contusion is a bruise, if thats what you have and your allowed to take medicines by your doctor, tylenol (acetaminophen) works just fine. Best to avoid narcotics or stronger medicines so you can see how the symptoms improve. Ice in the first week or so and heating pads afterwards can make the symptoms more tolerable.
