Most likely no: On average kidney donor have no difference in general health and life expectancy when comparing to the general public. There are risks associated with the surgery including hernia, bowel obstruction, infection, blood clots, anesthesia problems, bleeding and very rarely death. Also there are rare but possible problems that could come up in the remaing kidney that could cause it to fail.
