No: Giving a kidney should be a completely voluntary activity. Good transplant centers will allow reluctant donors to opt out and save face, even in the face of family pressure. Losing a kidney is generally safe for healthy people, but no one should be guilted into donation. It's a big procedure and things can go wrong.
