Many possible causes: There are many potential causes for symmetric numbness in the hands and feet. Metabolic disorders like diabetes, neurological disorders, including spinal disorders and even masses compressing the spine can cause numbness. Sometimes circulatory problems can cause numbness in the hands and feet. If the numbness is chronic and unremitting it is best to get it checked out.
