Only for pain: Oxycodone will help with the pain but will not treat the problem. Finding the cause of your pain and treating it is a better plan. Try to find a doctor that does a lot of TMJ treatment. I have had luck with muscle relaxants and physical therapy.

Would not advise it: While oxycodone is a good pain reliever, it is very addictive.

No, because.........: Oxycodone is a very strong pain killer, and overkill for most TMJ symptoms, and you will end up relying on it for relief. It doesn't "treat" the problem, it only makes you feel it less. Like any other medical problem, you need to find someone to help you eliminate or at least lessen the causes. Find a dentist who is skilled and experienced in tmd diagnosis and treatment.
