Less stress: A frequent cause of involuntary movements, especially facial "ticks" is stress. Consult with your physician and ask wether a short course of low dose xanax (alprazolam) or Clonazepam might be attempted. Long duration use is not recommended. If this does not cure the problem, you may want to seek the services of a physican familiar with using Botox injections for this type of problem.
